Our mission is to foster and promote the global community of Harvard Asian alumni.

Web Site Update -- Still in Beta

Hello to all the new users!

Welcome to the HAAAA web site!

Just FYI, there are many parts of the web site that are still in flux. As you can see, things are changing as we go. We are adding features, changing features, adding pages, changing numbers, etc. Please bear with us as we finalize the design. The membership and chapter info will also evolve in the near future.

Meanwhile, do please sign up so that at least you'll be on our mailing lists! Please feel free to use our temporary Facebook home in the meantime:

Integration

You can now create an account, and at the same time, let us know your graduation year, degree, and which chapters you'd like to join. Simple enough; it just required a bunch of back-end hacking to understand that CiviCRM and Drupal are more tightly coupled than I'd expected. Which is great. Enjoy.

Also, new members will be subject to approval by our membership committee from henceforth.

Google's already found our website.

Clearly our website is still in its infancy; the paint isn't even dry yet. Actually, wait, the drywall hasn't even been hung yet. So its a surprise that Google has already paid us a housewarming visit. And like an unruly houseguest, Google managed to muck up the events listing, which hadn't yet been properly secured against anonymous visitors. That's since been fixed, and we'll be better prepared for more unexpected visitors in the future!

2nd day of our existence

CiviCRM and Drupal, which are the bones of this website, are working out pretty well. Drupal maintains the stories and the layout you see here, and CiviCRM will allow us to keep a nice member and events database.

Letter from the President, Winter 2008

Seasons greetings and welcome to the first Harvard Asian
American Alumni Alliance newsletter! I’m truly thrilled that
all of you have joined the group to help promote our global
Asian American network. As the first year of our existence
draws to a close, I am pleased to have found a core group
of such wonderful friends and respected colleagues. In
these short few months we have had already experienced
many great successes: networking within our newly
formed group, promoting Harvard culture, reaching out to
the other Ivy League Asian American alumni groups, and

Our first blog post
